Open Church is a collective of authentically messy Jesus followers making the kingdom of God tangible in our city.
We gather in homes and churches, along the streets and on college campuses, at community gardens and in recovery, all in pursuit of God’s love.
If you’ve ever felt the church could be different, then we’re the church for you.

From individuals to communities, social and spiritual transformation is the means and the end by which we see God’s Kingdom in Columbus, Ohio.
In partnership with God and each other, we are a collective of microchurches introducing people to Jesus and to God’s kingdom on earth, empowering each person to find their purpose and change the world with God’s love and grace.

What We're About
The great commandment is love God and love your neighbor as yourself; the great commission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ; and the great requirement is do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with God. This is what we are all about.
Worship God.
Worship is essential to a faith community.
God created us to be in relationship with God. Gathering as a community for worship, centers ourselves around God and how God is calling this community to be in the world.
Worship gatherings might look different at each faith community, but all communities create a safe place to hear what is often a dangerous message: God’s reckless, never-ending, all-consuming love for each and every person.
Love People.
Jesus said the second greatest commandment is to love your neighbor as yourself. Through the life and teaching of Jesus, we realize that relationships are everything in the Kingdom of God. Relationship with God, relationships with others, relationship with ourselves, and relationship with creation.
We take this seriously. We get to know our neighbors and we love them, pray for them, invite them, just as we would ourselves.
Do Justice.
Scripture tells us to “serve one another in love” (Galatians 5:13). God calls us to make a practical, tangible difference in our community.
Worship is the launching pad into the community, to love our neighbors, to offer mercy and hospitality, to fight for justice and peace, and to make God’s Kingdom tangible in the world as it is in heaven.
We trust that God will lead each of us, individually and collectively, to use our gifts, passions, and talents to see social and spiritual transformation in our city.
